Committees

 

Do you want to volunteer to serve on a FCCFA committee? This is your opportunity to become more active in your association. Please take a moment to read through the various committee descriptions and choose the one that best fits you. If you are interested in serving on one or more FCCFA committees, please email elane@executiveoffice.org and let us know which one(s) you would like to volunteer for.

 

FCCFA Bylaws Committee

Review bylaws annually and recommend changes as needed. For transitional year, this committee will create new set of bylaws for the new association. Expectations for first year will be to meet in-person and/or over teleconferences 3-5 times and moderate email communication. Other years, the committee would meet via teleconference once per year or more if needed.

 

Governmental Affairs Committee

Formerly Legislative and Regulatory committees. Develops legislative initiatives for the upcoming year and follows regulatory issues with DFCCS. Expected to participate in 3-5 conference calls throughout the year, moderate email communication (heavy during session), follow DFCCS board meetings, rules changes, etc. and attend DFCCS board meetings if possible and expected to attend the Tallahassee Legislative Day.

 

Convention Committee

Reviews locations and venues, determines education and special events. Expected to participate in 5-10 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication. Chair is expected to attend hotel site visits.

 

Sales & Marketing Committee

Reviews locations and venues, determines education and special events. Works closely with Regional Member Meetings Committee. Expected to participate in 3-5 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication.

 

Maintenance Expo Committee

Reviews locations and venues, determines education and special events. Works closely with Regional Member Meetings Committee. Expected to participate in 3-5 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication.

 

Regional Meetings Committee

Reviews locations and venues, determines education and special events. Works closely with both Sales and Rodeo Seminar Committees. Expected to participate in 3-5 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication.

 

Membership Development Committee

Work with staff to create a plan of work for recruitment and retention for the year. Expected to participate in 2-4 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.

 

Budget and Finance Committee

Reviews association financial status as necessary. FCCFA board to determine frequency of financial reporting from staff. Expected to participate in approximately 4 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.

 

Nominating Committee

Recommends a slate of candidates for board of directors and officers. Expected to participate in 1-3 conference calls throughout the year and light e-mail communication.

 

Credentials Committee

Certifies that only those holding properly validated voting certificates shall be allowed to vote. The Committee meets via conference call and at Annual Convention.

 

Awards Committee

Charged with establishing and coordinating an awards program. The committee shall plan an event honoring each year’s award recipients and evaluate continuing and new awards for the association. The committee will also evaluate scholarship applicants. Expected to participate in 4-6 conference calls throughout the year and minimal e-mail communication.

 

Public Relations Committee

The committee shall oversee the FCCFA’s current communication tools and make recommendations for improvement and implementation of new tools and methods. The committee shall strive to improve communications to members, potential members, the legislature and general public. Expected to participate in approximately 4-8 conference calls throughout the year and moderate e-mail communication.
