COMMITTEES


Do you want to volunteer to serve on a FCCFA committee? This is your opportunity to become more active in your association. Please take a moment to read through the various committee descriptions and choose the one that best fits you. If you are interested in serving on one or more FCCFA committees, please fill out the form HERE and let us know which one(s) you would like to volunteer for. 

*Committee terms run from August to July. New committee members will be assigned immediately following the FCCFA Annual Convention

Governmental Affairs Committee

Develops legislative initiatives for the upcoming year and follows regulatory issues with DFCCS. Expected to participate in 3-5 conference calls throughout the year, moderate email communication (heavy during session), follow DFCCS board meetings, rules changes, etc. and attend DFCCS board meetings if possible and expected to attend the Tallahassee Legislative Day.

ANNUAL Convention Committee

Reviews locations and venues, determines educational content for the Annual Convention. Expected to participate in 8-10 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication. 

EDUCATION & EVENTS COMMITTEE
Reviews locations and venues, and determines educational content for all of the association's educational and neworking events except the Annual Convention and Maintenance Expo.  These event include meetings such as: Sales Seminar, Embalming Seminar, Regional Meetings, Outstanding Events, etc.  Expected to participate sin 4-8 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication. 

 

CEMETERYCON COMMITTEE
Reviews locations and venues, determines education for the annual event. Works closely with Educuaction and Events Committee. Expected to participate in 3-5 teleconferences throughout the year, moderate email communication.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
Work with staff to create a plan of work for recruitment and retention for the year. Expected to participate in 2-4 teleconferences and moderate email communication throughout the year.

Awards & SCHOLARSHIP Committee
Charged with establishing and coordinating an awards program. The committee shall plan an event honoring each year’s award recipients and evaluate continuing and new awards for the association. The committee will also evaluate scholarship applicants. Expected to participate in 4-6 conference calls throughout the year and minimal e-mail communication.
